‘Tis the Season to be Jolly

We hope the spirit of Christmas is descending upon you all and that you are ready to enjoy the Stockbridge Christmas event on Saturday 03 December.

Here is a run down of what’s on:

  • Friends of Stockbridge School is already taking orders for Christmas trees and there is a discount if you order before 25 November (see attached flyer for how). Otherwise trees at full price will be sold at St Peter’s Church on 03 December from 9am to 2pm.
  • Shops and businesses are extending an extra warm welcome to those who pop in to visit and some will be staying open late.
  • The Wellow Wasps carol singers will be on the High Street for performances between 3.45 and 5.15.
  • Test Valley Brass Band will perform on the High Street between 4 and 5.30.
  • From 5.30 gather outside St Peter’s Church and soak up the festive atmosphere.
  • The lights will be switched on at 6pm by Lawrie McMenemy, MBE, aided by Reece Daly, captain of Stockbridge Robins, and by Lifetime President of Stockbridge Robins, Dave Webb.
  • The Treasure Hunt prize giving comes next and will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the church.

All of the entertainment is free and this is only possible through the kindness and generosity of those who supply power for the lights and donations to cover costs. Specifically we would like to recognise the following who have contributed to date:
