The successful Trout 'n About festival is back and this year more than 100 stall holders will bring the area’s best artisan food, craft and entertainment to Stockbridge High Street. The annual family festival, held in the Test Valley’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’, will line the street with the finest foods - delicious baked goods, charcuterie, buffalo burgers, fresh seafood, crumbly fudges, olives, cupcakes, preserves, chutneys, smoked trout, biltong, and Test Valley brewed cider, ales, gins and wines.

Visitors will also find handmade jewellery, cloth bunting, flowers and plants, animal portraits, hats, natural soaps, dog collars, children’s clothes and plenty of demonstrations – including metal sculpture, hand forged ironwork and wood turning.

1964 King Alfred double-decker buses will provide a free hop-on hop-off service from the car parks, also free, at either end of the High Street.

Parents will find the Family & Wellbeing Zone on the Football Pitch with circus acts, children’s workshops, play area and face-painting.

Live music will enliven the High Street, and many shops and delis will be open including the much loved Stockbridge Community Market in the Town Hall. A raffle will raise money for local charities - prizes donated by Test Valley businesses.

Stockbridge Marsh and the Down will be available for dog-lovers.

This is Trout ‘n About’s 13th year. Free to attend, and run by volunteers from the community, it’s one of the most popular local food and craft events in Hampshire.  Funds raised finance local good causes. Last year’s beneficiaries included The Alex Lewis Trust, Stockbridge Neighbour Care and the Football Club to name a few.

This year’s festival is sponsored by Sarum Road Hospital, NFU Mutual Basingstoke, WDPJ Media and supported by Test Valley Borough Council, Stockbridge Parish Council, Hildon Water, the Southern Co-op and Orvis.

“I was absolutely blown away by the wonderful atmosphere, music, traders, food and the good humour of everyone” (Visitor)
