The River Keepers at the Houghton Fishing Club report that:
Although dry weather has finally arrived, they are aware that they still need to be on their guard. The River Keepers have had a very busy couple of weeks dealing with fallen trees, removing branches that have blocked hatches and even removing garden furniture and tarpaulin that have blocked hatches. This work has ensured that the carriers and culverts are as clear as possible to enable the water to keep flowing
They are glad to see that weather is due to be dry for the next days.
