The surface dressing maintenance treatment along the A3057 Romsey Road/Stockbridge Road, Leckford, from Fullerton Road to A30 London Road roundabout has now been reprogrammed.

The works are a 2 part process and are currently programmed to start on Wednesday 9th August 2023, with a second visit planned for Sunday 13th August 2023. The works will take up to 2 days to complete. In order to complete the works safely a ROAD CLOSURE will be necessary on both visits. The road will be closed to traffic between 09:30 - 16:00 hours and again from 18:30 - 22:00 hours.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained when possible and safe to do so, pedestrian access to properties will not be affected, and emergency vehicles will have access at all times. Whilst there is an allowance within the time periods shown above for delays, there may be times when HCC have to postpone works at very short notice; based on the latest weather forecasts, this can occur just prior to works commencing. HCC will always look to provide up to date information wherever they can, but sometimes these last minute decisions can be difficult to relay to the travelling public in a timely manner. When HCC can, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits. Information signs advising road users will be erected before the start of works.
